Creating Avatar in MakeHuman (didn't really like it...)


Second Try


I used the A-Pose and the Motion Builder Rig, and exported as FBX file. However, when I uploaded to Mixamo, it couldn't successfully recognize the model. So I exported again as OBJ file. It was successfully uploaded but the skeleton was not recognized. I had to go through the auto-rigging in Mixamo. When I imported the final animation into Unreal, the animation on the skeletal mesh was super weird...


I later realized that it might be the butterfly wings that was causing the issue in Mixamo. So I deleted the wings in MakeHuman and exported again as FBX. This time it worked perfectly in Mixamo. And When I brought the animation into Unreal and put on my model with the wings, it worked super well too.
